Artist Statement

My work is rooted in quiet moments, those brief, often overlooked pauses where light, emotion, and memory gently come together. I'm drawn to scenes of everyday life, not for their activity, but for their stillness, the subtle feeling that something meaningful is happening just beneath the surface.

Working is acrylic, I build layers of color and texture to create depth and atmosphere, allowing each painting to unfold slowly. Whether it's a child list in curiosity, a quit café, a reflective shoreline, or a fleeting interaction between people or animals, my intention is always the same: to capture a moment that invites you to pause, feel, and remember.

 

I believe that art does not need to be complicated to be powerful. Often, it's the simplest moments, the ones we might pass by, that stay with us the longest. Through my work, I hope to offer a sense of calm, connection, and recognition, a place where the viewer can step in, slow down, and find something of their own within the scene.
